POV: You Take Control of Jessica

Jessica casually adjusts her lipstick, making sure her appearance is flawless. She leans forward slightly, playing her role – her tone soft, teasing.
“You’re quiet tonight… nervous?”

You respond calmly, watching her closely as she takes another sip.

That’s when the shift begins.

Her movements slow, just slightly at first. A blink lingers too long. A faint crease appears on her forehead.
“It’s… warmer here than I thought…” she murmurs, her voice no longer as steady.

She stands, trying to maintain composure, but her balance falters. Her hand shoots out to the table to steady herself. Confusion flickers across her face, mixed with determination – she’s not ready to fail.

“Come here…” she says quietly, stepping toward you, her focus slipping.
“Kiss me.”

She leans in, attempting to finish what she started – but her legs give out mid-motion.

You catch her.

Her body goes heavy in your arms, her head falling against your shoulder as her strength rapidly fades. You guide her down carefully, her breathing shallow, her awareness slipping.

You check her quickly, searching for anything concealed – retrieving what she carried, ensuring the situation is fully under control.

But she’s not completely gone yet.

A faint movement. A quiet groan. Her eyelids flutter as she struggles against the fog. Her hand weakly reaches for your wrist, a desperate, unfocused attempt to hold on.

“No…” she manages, her voice barely there, her eyes glassy with fear as realization sets in.

“Shh… it’s over.”

You bring the cloth to her face, holding it firmly as her resistance briefly returns – weak, uncoordinated, fading fast. Her movements slow… then soften… then stop completely.

Her hand falls limp.

Her body relaxes fully.

Jessica is unconscious.

The mission is over.

And the one who came in as the hunter… is now completely helpless.
